𝐀 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧:

𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧

I attended a funeral this afternoon that left me deeply moved. It was a tribute to a remarkable man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, godfather and above all, an extraordinary surgeon. As his children shared heartfelt memories of their beloved "Papa," what struck me the most was his profound passion for his career. His dedication to his patients, his ability to save lives, and his unwavering kindness and humility resonated in every word spoken.

Reflecting on the impact of my own work as a career coach, I was reminded that each of us has a unique calling in life, just as powerful as the one that fueled this revered surgeon's life journey.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴:

On the journey of life, we must be open to discovery, attentive to the signs around us, and willing to acknowledge our talents, skills, and abilities. Sometimes, the path to finding our calling may be challenging, and we may face uncertainty. But it is in these moments that we learn the most about ourselves.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:

Life is too short not to pursue what brings us joy. It may require seeking help or looking more closely at what's right in front of us. Embracing our passions and diving into what we love allows us to be the best versions of ourselves. This journey can be as transformative as the destination itself.

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲:

As we age, we become more reflective about life's experiences. Listening to the stories shared at the funeral, I couldn't help but ponder what stories would be told about my life one day. Am I kind and helpful to others? Have I explored my career to its fullest potential? What lessons can I learn from those around me? Am I making a positive impact on others' journeys?

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

Take a moment today to contemplate your life. Are you happy? Does it bring you joy? These questions apply to all aspects of life, not just your career. If you find any areas that need improvement, remember that even small steps can lead to significant changes.
