Karen started her career in Human Resources and held positions as HR Manager, HR Director and HR Consultant before becoming the owner of Sharp Human Resources in 2001.
Over the years, friends and acquaintances would ask for help with their resumes or interviewing skills. Karen saw there was a great need to help people with the job search process. She had had many years of being the HR person who handled recruitment as part of her HR responsibilities. Karen understood how Recruiters and HR Hiring Managers conducted interviews and she often wished she could have had a few minutes prior to the interview to provide tips and suggestions to the candidates she was interviewing.
So in 2015, Karen transitioned Sharp Human Resources from a Human Resources consulting firm to SharpHR Career Coaching. Since that time she has helped clients with transitioning into a new career, targeting new job opportunities, resume and LinkedIn updating, improving interviewing skills, building a network, strategically finding opportunities and so much more.
