When we hear the word innovation, we often think of tech giants, startup founders, or inventors tinkering in labs. But hereโs the truth, innovation isnโt just for Silicon Valley. Itโs for you, especially if youโre job seeking or changing careers.
Innovation means trying a different approach. It means asking, โWhat if I explored a new industry?โ or โHow can I tell my story differently on my resume?โ It means not doing what everyone else is doing, like applying to 100 jobs with the same cover letter and wondering why nothing sticks.
Maybe innovation looks like reaching out for informational interviews instead of just applying online. Maybe it's learning one new tool, like LinkedInโs โOpen to Workโ features, or crafting a more authentic elevator pitch. It doesnโt have to be big. But it does have to be intentional.
If you want different results in your job search, bring a little innovation into your process. It can be the difference between being stuck and finding momentum.
๐ And remember: Innovation doesnโt mean perfection. It just means youโre willing to try something new.
